We’re excited to share UCSB Rowing’s results from the Western Intercollegiate Rowing Association (WIRA) Championships, April 25 & 26.
The results highlight the strength and depth of the team: The Women’s and Men’s teams won the Small Boats Trophy, awarded to the team with the highest combined points in pairs, doubles, and fours The Women’s team won the Cumulative Points Trophy, awarded to the team with the greatest number points overall 🥇 One Gold Medal: Women’s V4+ 🥈 Two Silver Medals: Men’s Lightweight N4+, Women’s N8+ 🥉 Two Bronze Medals: Men’s V4+, Women’s 2x All-WIRA Second Team: Alexander Svendsen-Conn (Men’s V4+), Jocelyn Jaber (Women’s V4+) 11 boats competing in Grand Finals 7 boats competing in Petite Finals
These results reflect the athletes’ hard work, the depth of the roster, and the dedication of our coaching staff—and set the stage for a strong showing at Nationals on May 15–17 (see below for details on how to support the team in Oakridge, TN). |
